Park & Ride:
We recommend you leave your car at the park and ride in Lelant, take a ten minute, scenic, old-fashioned train ride on this beautiful stretch of coastline to St Ives, then a 15-minute stroll through the picturesque town past the harbour and through to Porthgwidden.
Nearest Carpark:
Porthgwidden does have a long stay carpark just next to it called the Island Car Park. As you can imagine it is very busy in the summer but if you get there early (before 9am) you should get a spot. TR26 1SY, to the Island Carpark.
By Train:
Paddington London (First Great Western) to Penzance, Glasgow (Virgin) to Penzance, change at St Erth for St Ives – then the most beautiful train ride you will ever take pops you out just above Porthminster. From there is it a 15min walk through St Ives, round the harbour and towards the chapel on the island (you can see it from the station). Porthgwidden is nestled on the lefthand side of the island.
