Porthgwidden Café is open all year round for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as serving a selection of patisserie and our exclusive St Ives roasted Foundation Coffee, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
The Café specialises in Mediterranean and Asian seafood cuisine, appealing to all of the senses.
Porthminster Cookbook
This limited edition cookbook showcases signature recipes from Mick Smith, Executive Chef of the Porthminster Collection (Porthminster Beach Café, Porthminster Kitchen & Porthgwidden Beach Café). Dishes including the famous Monkfish Curry, Sea Bass with Crab Fritters and Chilli Ponzu, and Deconstructed Pimms, can all now be recreated at home.
Featuring many beautiful images, the cookbook is also a food love story all about our location here in St Ives. From fish freshly-hauled from the bay, to foraged finds on the coast path, the recipes all take their lead from the fabulous surroundings we share with our sister restaurants. If you know someone who loves food, and loves St Ives, this might just be the ultimate gift!

Ethos & Sustainability
We aim to recycle as much as possible, and keep the beach and surrounding area as free of litter and anything hazardous to the environment as we can. We encourage our visitors to help us as much as they can by leaving no waste behind by either taking it away or using our bins and recycling bins provided. We are very proud of the natural beauty of our beach.
